Issues with camera module

Hi,

I bought a camera module (v2.1) late last month and I only got around to attaching it to my pi this weekend. When I attach and run raspistill I’m just getting an error saying that there’s no camera detected.

I had another camera module already (also v2.1) and I swapped that onto the same pi, using the same connector cable and it works fine.

Anyone have any ideas, or does it just look like I have a faulty module?

Hi Stephen,

When you swap the cameras over, are you making sure the cable is facing the same direction each time? The cable will only work one way. You also need to make sure that it’s fully inserted into the connectors.

Can you try running vcgencmd get_camera and posting up the results?
