I have just received the display as well as a new pi 5. I hooked it all up and the display stays blank. I plugged in a hdmi display and the pi comes up fine. I am sure I have connected as per instructions the connectors on the pi end face the USB drives and the connectors on the touchscreen face up. the power is also connected as per instructions.

Just. to complete this. As suggested by support I loaded a fresh OS on my pi 5 and the display worked. Very happy

Check if the touchscreen display is powered. The display typically requires a 5V power source and sufficient current (at least 500mA or more).
