just bought a piicodev quality air …
ran thonny
couldnt find microbit (tho showed up on desktopp)
then i decided to shut down reboot just the pi all others disconnected to update
sudo apt update …
sudo apt full-upgrade…
now when reboots i can interupt with shift key and see the noobs screen initialise
but dont know from there unless i do new install
plenty of space
cant get back to terminal

Hi Ian,
I haven’t run into symptoms like this before. To get a better idea of what’s happening, I’d open the boot partition on a non-Pi machine and remove the words “quiet” and “splash” from cmdline.txt. Then look for error messages in the output and let us know what you see. Send photos if the messages are easy to catch, a video if it all moves too fast.
Keen to get to the bottom of this one with you!
